An Ennis business is said to be at “breaking point” over what it describes as a long running refuse problem in one of the town’s busiest car parks.
The owner of An Binsin Luachra Boutique claims she’s been raising concerns with the local authority over two years about persistent waste and poor standards at Moran’s Car Park, with no improvement to the situation.
Clare County Council says regular patrols are carried out in the car park and surrounding area to ensure compliance with regulations and where instances of illegal dumping or littering are observed, appropriate action is taken immediately.
It’s currently engaging with stakeholders to address the issues and to implement measures that will help prevent recurrence of illegal dumping, while steps are also being taken to provide a secure bin storage area for businesses in the town centre.
The waste is located close to the rear exit of An Binsin Luachra Boutique and owner Laura Cahir insists it’s time for action.
