Opposition TDs are calling for a review after it emerged that retired civil servants are paying knock-down rents to live in State-owned properties in the Phoenix Park.

The OPW, which manages properties on behalf of the State, has said that rents of between €670 and €4,160 per annum are being charged to retired staff or widowed spouses of workers who were required to live in the park as part of their work.
