Liverpool v Burnley (Sat, 15:00 GMT)
More from Liverpool manager Arne Slot on season so far: “First of all it’s important to improve, no matter where you are. You need to get your game better and better because the teams you face towards end of the Champions League or FA Cup are usually stronger as well.
“The margins in those games are so, so small in these games. With experience from last season where we were the only team who took Paris St-Germain to penalties and very close to elimination from the Champions League. But in the end they took them better than us, so these are the margins we are talking about.
“We need a little bit of luck in those moments, but if luck becomes important, we need to be really good because for me, maybe I am the only one, I don’t get why Manchester City’s goal was disallowed against Newcastle but it didn’t influence the result because they were able to score afterwards and still win.
“It’s a good example of a game you are unlucky with the refereeing decision but you still win it. That is a good example of how I want it to be. The Manchester United penalty shouldn’t have influenced our result, but it did because we lost. There was a player [Alexis Mac Allister] on the floor with four stitches needed and the referee didn’t stop the game.”
