The KV Institute of Management and Information Studies (KVIM), through its KV Business Incubator, organised UDYAM SHIKSHA – an Entrepreneurship Development Program on 22 January 2026.
The objective of the programme was to promote entrepreneurship and formal business practices among students.
The initiative was designed to create awareness about entrepreneurship development, MSME (Udyam) registration, startup funding opportunities, and government-supported startup ecosystems.
In today’s dynamic economic environment, the programme emphasised entrepreneurship as a strategic and sustainable career pathway.
A significant institutional milestone highlighted during the event was the registration of 80 student-led ventures under MSME (Udyam Registration).
This achievement was made possible through the structured guidance and mentoring support provided by the KV Business Incubator.
The UDYAM SHIKSHA session was organised specifically to formally issue MSME certificates to the registered student ventures and to recognise their entrepreneurial efforts.
During the programme, Gayathri, Project Lead, Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (StartupTN), appreciated the initiatives of the student entrepreneurs and the KV Business Incubator in facilitating MSME registrations.
She encouraged the students to scale their ventures further and highlighted the business opportunities, startup support schemes, and ecosystem linkages available through StartupTN.
She also motivated students to actively engage with the state startup ecosystem.
The sessions underscored the importance of formal registration, legal compliance, and structured growth for startups.
Overall feedback from the students was highly positive, with participants expressing increased motivation and confidence to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
The programme effectively bridged academic knowledge with real-world entrepreneurial execution.
Through UDYAM SHIKSHA, KVIM and the KV Business Incubator reaffirmed their commitment to fostering innovation, supporting student startups, and strengthening the institutional entrepreneurship ecosystem in alignment with national MSME and startup development initiatives.
