Fans are predicting a new DNA twist on Coronation Street that could be tied to an Emmerdale character.
Viewers saw Shona Platt intrigued about her sister Jodie’s claims of her past, and the treatment from their dad. We know that Shona left home as a teenager after she fell pregnant, and she never returned.
When Shona reunited with her sister Jodie recently, Jodie confessed she was controlled by their dad after Shona vanished. Jodie claimed he wouldn’t let her out of his sight, locked her in her room and made her life difficult.
Shona was speaking to her husband David Platt on Friday, deciding to find her father to confront him about Jodie’s trauma. David said it wasn’t a good idea, but Shona planned to secretly track him down and question him about what had gone on.

Fans first met Jodie when she was tied up in the back of Emmerdale character Graham Foster’s van. Since Graham’s fake death was confirmed and Jodie’s link to Shona was revealed, it still has not been confirmed how the two characters from different soaps know each other.
We don’t know what led to Graham kidnapping her and Jodie fleeing, while it’s clear she is up to something. So when she claimed her dad was controlling and the rest, viewers began to wonder if this is what connected Jodie and Graham.
As some viewers pointed out it was unlikely as Graham didn’t have any children, some viewers could not shift the idea that Graham might be Jodie and Shona’s father. Taking to social media, fans speculated that Graham was the controlling dad, and that’s why he kidnapped Jodie, perhaps after she tried to flee.

One viewer posted online: “She spoke about a controlling dad. So unless thats a lie, my theory was: Graham is Jodie’s controlling dad, she tried to run away from him but he caught her and tied her up in his van and was driving her to wherever he intended to take her.
“But the crash caused a problem and Graham caught sight of Joe Tate and in the process, Jodie escaped Kit found her tied up and now she’s reunited with Shona.” Another fan posted: “I get the feeling Graham might be Shona’s dad.”
A third fan said: “I’m still halfway through the episode but my theory is he’s her dad,” as a fourth agreed: “Or are they just going to make Graham Shona’s father? Another wrote: “Omg Graham is Shona and Jodie’s dad.”
