Kerry native Clodagh O’Leary, who only took up photography as a hobby during COVID, now suddenly finds herself with a one-in-26 chance of winning the coveted AIB Portrait Prize for 2025 and the €15k cash prize that goes with it.
As well as this, if Clodagh does come out on top with the win, she will also be commissioned to create a work for the National Portrait Collection, for which they will be awarded a further €5,000.
