From Orange Is the New Black to the DC Universe, Ruby Rose was once the most sought-after Aussie export in Hollywood.
But in recent years, the 39-year-old Melbourne-born star had traded red carpets for a low-key lifestyle Down Under.
Here is a look inside Rose’s real estate moves amid her departure from the Hollywood A-list.

In 2021, Rose forked out $US2.6 million ($A3.7 million) for a home in the Valley Village area of Los Angeles.
The property features four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a swimming pool.
Just before her Valley Village upgrade, the DJ-turned-actress offloaded her Sherman Oaks residence for $US2.1million ($A2.8million).
Rose purchased the dwelling in 2017 for $US1.8million ($A2.4million), pocketing a tidy profit of $300,000.

Rose reportedly maintains a second residence in Australia, a futuristic cabin tucked away in Victoria.
Nestled on bushland by the coast, the property features black wood, glass walls and a triangle window with metal beams, leading to views of the water.
The Batwoman star previously told a fan the retreat is in “a secret magical place in Victoria”.
It is not known if Rose owns the residence, if it belongs to her family or if she rents it for when she’s in Australia.

Why did Ruby Rose disappear from Hollywood?
Rose, who launched her career as a model, DJ and TV host for MTV Australia, moved to Hollywood in 2013.
The actress shot to fame with her breakout role as Stella Carlin in Orange Is The New Black.
She went on to star in blockbusters including Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, John Wick: Chapter 2, Pitch Perfect 3 and The Meg before landing the part of Kate Kane in Batwoman.
After the end of season one, Rose controversially quit the superhero series in 2020.
She publicly alleged she had been subjected to bad working conditions on the set, and was “forced” back to work after suffering a neck injury.
In July 2021, Rose gave a different reason, saying she had a latex allergy, which made filming difficult.

However, around October 2021, Rose posted a series of Instagram Stories, making accusations of abusive behaviour, negligence, and dangerous on-set conditions.
“I’m going to tell the whole world what really happened to me on that set,” she wrote, tagging the show’s production company.
Rose alleged the then-President of Warner Bros. TV, Peter Roth, had hired a private investigator on her.
She claimed the executive forced her back to work just 10 days after back surgery.
The actress later confirmed she was fired, stating: “I DO NOT QUIT, they ruined Kate Kane and they destroyed Batwoman, not me.”
She also told fans to stop asking her if she “will return to that awful show”.
“I wouldn’t return for any amount of money nor if a gun were to my head,” said Rose in her scathing Instagram Story rebuke.

Warner Bros. Television, released a strongly-worded response to Deadline, agreeing Rose was fired from the show but claiming it was the result of an internal probe into “complaints about workplace behaviour” against her.
“Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the Studio, the truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behaviour that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned,” a spokesman told Deadline.
After a work hiatus in Australia, where she spent time with her family, Rose came back to LA to star in two action movies, Vanquish and SAS: Red Notice.
Both films were panned, with Vanquish earning Rose a Razzie nomination for Worst Actress.
