Back in 1998, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 breakout Bill Moseley reprised his role as Chop Top in All American Massacre from writer-director William Hooper, the son of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre‘s Tobe Hooper.
What started as a short film expanded into something bigger, but budgetary issues and legal complications prevented the project’s release — until now.
After nearly 30 years, UK-based indie film studio Dragon Studios has restored the original footage and is shooting new scenes to complete All American Massacre as a feature.
Rising from the ashes of his family’s blood-soaked legacy, Chop Top “Bloody Bobby” Sawyer returns with the assistance of his chainsaw-wielding brother, Leatherface, to carve a new path of terror through a modern world that has forgotten what true fear feels like.
From within the prison he now calls home, Bloody Bobby’s story unfolds in a chilling descent into madness, blurring the line between confession and carnage.
Featuring a new generation of victims and survivors, this long-awaited chapter reimagines the Texas Chainsaw mythology with the gritty realism, dark humor, and relentless energy of the original films.
Moseley stars alongside fellow horror icon Miguel A. Núñez Jr. (The Return of the Living Dead). Todd Bates, Danielle Burgio, Jessica Joyce, Stephan Lokotsch, Greg Herger, and Mitchell Drain also appear.
The film promises more cult actors as well as appearances from other members of the Sawyer clan long thought lost to time.
Dragon Studios has launched a CineBacker campaign to help fund the additional production. Rewards include producer credits, roles in the film, a limited edition box set, and more.
All American Massacre is expected to be completed later this year.
