Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has been rushed to hospital and shared a video with her followers from a hospital corridor where she was forced to have treatment

Kerry Katona has disclosed she’s been rushed to hospital. Posting a video on her Instagram Stories, the former Atomic Kitten singer confessed she had been receiving treatment since yesterday morning.
The 45 year old uploaded footage to her social media revealing the hospital is at capacity, leaving her waiting for a proper bed. Speaking in a weary voice, Kerry explained: “Hi guys it’s 2.10 in the morning and I have been in hospital since yesterday – yesterday morning.”
She then displays an intravenous cannula inserted in her arm before moving the camera around to reveal her bed positioned near the nurses’ station in the hospital corridor. “It’s very full so unfortunately, I’m on a bed in the hall.”
She continued: “I have something called colitis – something to do with my bowel. So it’s been s**t – excuse the pun. I haven’t slept since yesterday, the day before. I’m in the right place.”
According to the NHS, ulcerative colitis is a chronic condition where the colon and rectum become inflamed. Symptoms include frequent bowel movements, abdominal pain and persistent diarrhoea, reports the Mirror.

Last year Kerry disclosed she had been battling another undisclosed health condition.
In August, she revealed her wellbeing deteriorated following her separation from fiancé Ryan Mahoney. The couple had parted ways a year prior.
The mother-of-five was performing up to three shows daily in her Christmas pantomime when she first spotted the hair loss. According to the NHS, alopecia is a general term for hair loss which can be widely spread or limited to one area and can be temporary of permanent.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Kerry revealed about her break up and health issue: “It was heartbreak, it was exhausting. I also got alopecia. It was really stressful.”
She has now recovered from her anguish over Ryan and is besotted with her current partner Paolo Margaglione. She has been dating boyfriend Paolo whom she encountered on Celebs Go Dating and frequently raves about their powerful bond.

Shortly after Christmas the couple marked a significant moment but confessed they aren’t rushing to expand their family or tie the knot. Whilst Kerry has five children, Paolo also has two of his own children.
In her new magazine column, Kerry revealed: “Paolo and I have been together nearly a year now but it feels like seven years already! It’s like he’s been in my life forever, it’s crazy. And I’ve never had a connection like this with anybody.
“I’ve always wanted to own my own home, so we’re working towards that together. But there’s no rush for a ring, or a baby. I’m just enjoying everything for what it is. I want to continue on this journey with Paolo, have date nights and juggle our families.”
Last week, Kerry revealed her enthusiasm about her Valentine’s Day arrangements with Paolo – as the couple are set to embark on a romantic getaway. She penned: “I’m really excited for Valentine’s Day this year before Paolo is taking me away. I’m not sure where we’re going but I’m hoping it’ll be somewhere hot and in the sun.
“As lovely as our recent trip to Turkey was, it was freezing! I’ve got a couple of weeks before work really starts to ramp up with the Mamma Mia tribute tour called Here We Go Again from May 4 until July 5, I’ve got Mighty Hoopla and the Kerry-Oke PAs with Butlin’s too – as well as another huge thing that I will share with you soon.”
