Wicklow town stalwart says he is not going to be upholding parade tradition of travelling in a car

Pat Davis has been announced as the Grand Marshall for the upcoming St Patrick’s Day parade in Wicklow town.
Maritime artist Pat Davis, who has been painting his striking murals of visiting sea vessels on the wall of the old East Pier in Wicklow Port for 50 years now, has been bestowed with the honour of leading this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade in Wicklow town as grand marshal.
Now retired, Pat worked as a postman for almost 40 years based out of Wicklow, covering the town, Rathnew, Rathdrum and Ashford.
