Following the release of three million pages of the Epstein files, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is facing further controversy as more information comes to light. Formerly known as Prince Andrew, the 65-year-old was photographed kneeling on all fours over an unidentified woman lying on the floor. He can be seen leaning over and touching the waist of the fully clothed woman, whose face has been redacted. It has now been confirmed that the photo, released with others on 30 January, was taken in disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein‘s New York City mansion.
Reacting to the breaking announcement on Sky News, royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills said: “We have been looking very closely, trying to pick apart exactly where those photos were taken. Of course, they were among the most surprising, some would say shocking photos that emerged from that latest drop of Epstein files over the weekend, seeing the King’s brother on all fours over a woman.”
Rhiannon clarified there is “no suggestion” of wrongdoing and also revealed the photographs were undated, meaning it’s difficult to know when exactly they were taken. After closely examining the image, Sky News’ data and forensic team confirmed it was taken inside Epstein’s New York mansion.
They identified the location by analysing the distinctive white wall panelling, which they cross-checked against another photograph showing Epstein having drinks with Hollywood director Woody Allen.
The Sky News star also noted that the door’s design is “quite distinctive” and matches both the Woody Allen image and other photographs of the property.
“You can see how much work our team have gone into to make sure that we can clearly say to you that these were taken within Epstein’s flat,” the presenter explained. “This in itself is interesting because it builds again, that bigger picture in terms of the contact that Andrew had with Epstein, the time that he spent with him.
“It’s important to reiterate that in Andrew’s latest public statement, which came back on the 17th October, 2025, Andrew reiterated that he vigorously denied any accusations against him.”
Rhiannon acknowledged that it would have been “an incredibly difficult weekend” for Andrew and the Royal Family, following the “incredible insight” Sky News has gained into the relationship between Epstein and Andrew, as well as his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
She added: “It is very telling that we can now confirm that those pictures were taken within Epstein’s New York flat.”
Despite Andrew claiming that he was meeting Epstein in New York to “call off their relationship”, more emails prove that the contact between the two men continued past December 2010, two years after Epstein was convicted of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute.
Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing or accusations against him surrounding his former friendship with Epstein.
