A man in his 40s died following a road crash in Co Cavan on Monday while another man was killed in a traffic incident in Co Tyrone.
The Cavan collision, involving a car and a lorry on the R192 at Corcloughan, Shercock, occurred shortly before 7.30am. The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The lorry driver, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital for assessment, according to a Garda statement.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who were in the area at the time and who may have camera footage are asked to make it available to gardaí.

In Co Tyrone, another man died following a road collision.
In a statement on Monday night, the PSNI said the man died following a single-vehicle collision in the Omagh area earlier in the day.
The statement said the police received a report around 10.20am of a collision involving a lorry and an industrial worker in the Donaghanie Road area of the town.
The man died at the scene. An investigation is under way.
