Refs will be refs but Paddy’s done his bit for punters with a Justice payout on the West London Derby at Stamford Bridge.
It may mean very little to Fulham fans now as it won’t change yesterday’s result, but Paddy’s doing his best to turn some frowns upside-down with a justice refund after the ridiculous decision to disallow Josh King’s goal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Manager Marco Silva looked on the brink of fighting every person within a five-mile radius of Fulham Road as decision after decision went against his side in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
Video assistant referee (VAR) Michael Salisbury sent referee Robert Jones to the monitor and ruled that Rodrigo Muniz had stood on Trevoh Chalobah in the build-up to Josh King’s would-be opening goal in the 21st minute. The referee agreed with his assistant and disallowed the goal despite the contact from the Fulham striker appearing minimal and completely accidental, which ignited the Fulham manager’s anger.
🚨 JUSTICE PAYOUT 🚨
Following the PGMOL’s acknowledgement of the mistake made by VAR in disallowing Josh King’s goal for Fulham yesterday, we have PAID OUT on the following:

The decision received a mountain of criticism from former players, with Match of the Day pundit Danny Murphy describing the ruling on Fulham’s goal as “the worst decision I’ve seen this season”.
The intervention had dire consequences for Fulham, as it would be Chelsea who took the lead before half-time through Joao Pedro’s header from an Enzo Fernandez corner in the eighth minute of first-half stoppage time. The Blues cemented their 2-0 victory in the second half thanks to a penalty from Fernandez after further interference from VAR showed that Ryan Sessengnon had handled the ball in the penalty area.
To make matters worse for the Fulham boss, PGMOL have ruled that VAR made a mistake. The on-field decision should have stood, and the goal should not have been overturned for a foul.
In light of this announcement, we’ve broken open the Justice Payout hammer and smashed the break-glass-in-case-of-catastrophic-injustice in the below markets on Josh King.
- First goalscorer
- Anytime goalscorer
- To score or assist
- Player To Have 2 Or More Shots On Target
- Player To Have 2 Or More Shots On Target In 1st Half
- Player To Have 2 Or More Shots
- Player To Have 2 Or More Shots In 1st Half
Plus, we’re helping out those who had their peepers on Sander Berge. We’re refunding any bets on him in the following markets, too:
- Anytime Assist
- To Score or Assist
While Fulham may not be receiving any justice in the form of goals or points from the Premier League, at least Paddy can help give his punters what they deserve, as the officials continue to mess up.
And there’ll be plenty more this season because, let’s be real, refs aren’t going to get any better, are they?
