Shelbourne have received a significant new investment of €3m from principal owners Neil Doyle, Cathal Doyle and Mickey O’Rourke that will give the club financial security for the next three seasons.
The injection of funds will result in a change in the shareholder structure at the club that will see the Doyle brothers – the owners of tech firm Bedford Consulting – increase their stake in the League of Ireland champions from 20pc to 41pc by putting in €2.25m.
