Ireland’s big three of Pádraig Harrington, Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy will be looking to get their bids off to a flying start when they go off in consecutive groups early this morning.
Starting from the 10th tee at 7:40am, Harrington will get the ball rolling alongside Venezuela’s Jhonattan Vegas and France’s Adrien Saddier.
Lowry is off in the next group with LIV star Brooks Koepka and France’s Martin Couvra at 7:50am before Masters champion McIlroy fires his opening tee shot at the par-five 10th alongside recently-crowned Omega European Masters champion Thriston Lawrence and Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan at 8am.

The first Irishman on the golf course todayRobert Moran chipped in for birdie on the 18th at Killeen Castle to clinch his spot in this week’s Irish Open, and the Dubliner was the first home player on the course.
He is currently two-over-par through five holes.
Birdie putt slips by for Rory on 12A very solid tee shot into the par-three 12th leaves all three players 25 feet for birdie, and all three make par, with McIlroy burning the edge for another birdie.
The sun is starting to come out in Straffan, and conditions are ideal for scoring.
