Manchester United star Bryan Mbeumo has called on his teammates to take responsibility after a poor start to the season. United boss Ruben Amorim has been put under pressure after losing 3-1 to Brentford at the weekend.
The summer signing, who cost £65million, told Sky Sports: “I think everyone in the team needs to take responsibility. When you play in a club this big, everyone needs to know what to do – as a team, we need to do better.”
Mbeumo arrived at Old Trafford in the summer after choosing to prioritise the Reds over Tottenham Hotspur who are managed by his former boss Thomas Frank.

However, the start to the campaign has not been what he would have hoped for.
The Reds have lost three of their opening six Premier League matches and exited the Carabao Cup at the first hurdle following defeat to Grimsby Town on penalties.
In that game, Mbeumo missed the decisive penalty as they were knocked out of the competition by their League Two opponents.
In just a short period, Mbeumo has realised what the pressure on him and the club is like when things are not going well.
And while the Cameroonian is not used to this, he is aiming to remain focused on his game and not the outside noise.

“Obviously it’s different, it’s not the same, but the only thing we want to be focused on is ourselves, we just try to listen to what’s going on inside,” he added.
“It’s not that hard [to block the noise out], obviously, the main thing we see is on social media, so it’s just not going on there much, and you just have to stay focused on your own things.”
Mbeumo is expected to be part of the United squad that returns to Old Trafford on Saturday for the clash against Sunderland. Amorim meanwhile will remain in the spotlight as the pressure continues to build around his future.
