Liverpool FC\u2019s chief financial officer and LFC Women board member Jenny Beacham said: \u201cThis is a key appointment for our women\u2019s programme and I\u2019m absolutely delighted that we have someone with Niamh\u2019s knowledge, experience and leadership back in the building.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe will be a significant support to our managing director Andy O\u2019Boyle as we continue growing and executing a long-term football strategy for our women\u2019s team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fahey returned to the AXA Melwood Training Centre last month and is already re-established within the building in her new role.<\/p>\n
As well as her on-field achievements, Fahey recently completed a master\u2019s degree in business administration (MBA), graduating in July from Liverpool John Moores University, as well as completing her UEFA B coaching licence through the PFA. She also holds a master\u2019s degree in pharmacology.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Boyle added: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled that Niamh agreed to take on what will be an extremely important position within our women\u2019s staff, elevating our sporting standards and contributing to the long-term development of the women\u2019s programme.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe will be a highly visible presence and involved in collaboration across our wider FSG football executive, maintaining alignment with the club\u2019s broader identity, ensuring shared values, philosophy and high-performance levels.<\/p>\n
