Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner is officially off the market!<\/p>\n

The 74-year-old reality alum announced his engagement to Lana Sutton in a sweet Instagram post on Friday, October 3.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I love this woman,’ Turner gushed alongside photos of the couple by the beach.<\/p>\n

In the stunning pics, Sutton showed off her sparkling engagement ring featuring a round-cut diamond and a diamond-encrusted band.<\/p>\n

Turner first revealed Sutton\u2019s identity in April,<\/a> explaining that their romance began after she slid into his DMs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He admitted the relationship almost fizzled before it started when he ignored her first message \u2014 but Sutton\u2019s persistence paid off when she reached out again, revealing she grew up just 20 minutes from him in Indiana<\/a>, sparking his interest.<\/p>\n

The couple recently shared a glimpse of their love on a trip to Toronto.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sutton posted photos from Niagara Falls, writing, ‘Had a wonderful trip to Niagara Falls on the Canada side! Loved every moment with @goldengerryturner! Oh Canada,’ with the pair posing in front of the iconic waterfall.<\/p>\n

Turner\u2019s engagement news comes 15 months after his divorce from ex-wife Teresa Nist, who famously received his final rose on The Golden Bachelor in 2023.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Turner and Nist later tied the knot in a televised ceremony in January 2024, making his new romance even more of a headline-grabber.<\/p>\n

In December,\u00a0Nist broke her silence on Turner’s\u00a0incurable cancer diagnosis<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nist told People <\/a>she was ‘extremely upset’ when Turner told her the devastating news during a trip to Indiana in March – adding: ‘He told me though, that it was the type of cancer that he would most likely outlive.<\/p>\n

‘He’s a very positive person and I am too, and I know that he will do the best that he can to make this a positive experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘And I have every faith that is going to work out that way, that it’s going to be the type of cancer that will not affect his life and that he’ll live to be a very healthy old age.’<\/p>\n

The 73-year-old led the franchise\u2019s first senior spinoff in 2023, proposing to Theresa Nist on the finale before their whirlwind engagement, televised wedding, and split all played out within just a few months<\/p>\n

She said that Turner’s diagnosis\u00a0‘wasn’t a factor in the ending of the relationship, at least not for me’ and part of the reason was the distance between their Indiana and New Jersey homes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nist said she and Turner now seldom speak and that ‘sometimes she can’t believe’ she got married and divorced in 2024.<\/p>\n

She added her final message to her ex was to ‘wish him the best’ and I’ wish for him a long and healthy, prosperous life, and I hope that he finds his person. I want him to be so happy, and I just wish him all the best of everything in the world.’<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the next Golden Bachelor has officially been announced: Mel Owens.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 66-year-old is a former NFL linebacker who spent nearly a decade with the Los Angeles Rams from 1981 to 1989.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Previously married with two sons, Owens is now looking for love once more, according to ABC\u2019s press release.<\/p>\n

Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor premiered September 24, on ABC, with episodes streaming next day on Hulu.<\/p>\n
