Mason Mount\u2019s reaction to one first-team Manchester United star was captured in the aftermath of the Red Devils\u2019 2-0 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 26-year-old Manchester United<\/a> ace returned to the starting XI for Saturday\u2019s Premier League clash after Matheus Cunha<\/a> was dropped to the bench.<\/p>\n

Mason Mount impressed United fans<\/a> with his superb Premier League showing at Old Trafford<\/a> in the left-sided No 10 role in Ruben Amorim\u2019s tactical system<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former Chelsea star linked up with Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> and Benjamin Sesko<\/a> in attack and Mount<\/a> had a meaningful impact in the first half for United against Sunderland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mount made the difference in the opening 10 minutes after he was picked out by a Bryan Mbeumo cross and the United No 7<\/a> fired a low strike into the Sunderland net.<\/p>\n

Mason Mount made way in the second half and Ruben Amorim<\/a> brought on Matheus Cunha in place of the former England international in the 65th minute on Saturday.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s 2-0 Premier League victory over Sunderland<\/a> also marked the club debut of Senne Lammens<\/a>, who arrived at Old Trafford as a deadline-day signing last month.<\/p>\n

Senne Lammens caught the eye of United fans<\/a> for all of the right reasons after the 23-year-old produced a steady showing between the sticks for the Red Devils.<\/p>\n

United first-team players immediately praised Lammens<\/a> for his performance against Sunderland and Mount wasted no time doing the exact same after the match.<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail reporter Nathan Salt took to social media platform TikTok and shared a video that showed Mount making his way onto the pitch from the bench.<\/p>\n

Mount could be seen darting towards summer signing Lammens and embraced the former Royal Antwerp star and congratulated him on his Red Devils debut.<\/p>\n

United manager<\/a> Amorim had made the big call ahead of the Premier League match to drop Altay Bayindir<\/a> and deploy Senne Lammens between the sticks.<\/p>\n

Lammens showed confidence through his command of the area, and the United summer signing securing a clean sheet was seen as a major positive for Mount.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it had been difficult recently, but a really important win today, especially at home \u2013 I feel like we\u2019ve been very solid,\u201d he told MUTV, as per Manchester United\u2019s official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we start sharply at home, there\u2019s definitely a good chance that we can win the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting that first goal and then getting another goal in the first half really helped us going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mount added: \u201cI think it\u2019s so important to get the clean sheet as well, so all-round a good day today.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a lot of pressure on today, so for us to step up mentally, to really show character, was so important.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward now, we keep moving forward and stay together as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n
