Sharon Stone<\/a> has some words of wisdom for anyone who wants to do another iteration of \u201cBasic Instinct.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Oscar-winning actor, who starred in the original 1992 version of the film, returned to her iconic role for 2006\u2032s \u201cBasic Instinct 2.\u201d While the first film was a commercial success, the second movie was anything but. <\/p>\n

Despite the flop, a new reboot of the film<\/a> is in the works, and will be penned by the movie\u2019s original writer. But don\u2019t count on seeing Stone in it. <\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, go ahead!\u201d she said emphatically. \u201cBut, good fucking luck!\u201d <\/p>\n

Melvin called Stone\u2019s candor \u201cso refreshing,\u201d and she explained where it comes from. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m at that stage in my life where I already retired once,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I already died a couple of times. I\u2019m like, \u2018What are you going to do? Kill me again? Go ahead.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

Stone recently shared a frank story about tension with her \u201cBasic Instinct\u201d co-star, Michael Douglas. (Stone\u2019s timeline of events has since been disputed<\/a> by a rep for Douglas). <\/p>\n

\u201cMichael Douglas did not want to put his bare ass out on the screen with an unknown,\u201d Stone said in an interview with Business Insider<\/a> published earlier this month. \u201cAnd I understood that. He wouldn\u2019t even test with me. But that was also for a different reason; we had an argument prior to that.\u201d <\/p>\n

Stone said the argument took place during Cannes Film Festival when Douglas \u201cwas talking about someone and their kids\u201d to a group of people, including Stone. <\/p>\n

\u201cI really, really knew this person he was talking about. So I said something and he responded to me, saying, \u2018What the fuck do you know?\u2019\u201d Stone said. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo he screams this at me across a whole group of people. And I\u2019m not the person who goes, \u2018Oh, excuse me, superstar,\u2019\u201d she added. \u201cI pushed back my chair and said to him, \u2018Let\u2019s step outside.\u2019 That\u2019s how we first met.\u201d <\/p>\n

A representative for Douglas told People magazine<\/a> at the time that Douglas was \u201cvery surprised\u201d by Stone\u2019s recollection, and \u201cdoesn\u2019t remember any argument in that timeframe.\u201d <\/p>\n
