Lou Teasdale has opened up about the deaths of her friends Caroline Flack<\/a> and Liam Payne<\/a> in a hard-hitting conversation about mental health.<\/p>\n

The make-up artist, 41, was close friends with the late Love Island host prior to her death and worked closely with Liam during his time in One Direction<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lou told how she felt ‘blamed’ for the passing of her pal Caroline and detailed conflict with her mother, who she has not spoken to since she died by suicide in 2020.<\/p>\n

On Paul C Brunson’s podcast We Need To Talk, Lou cleared up\u00a0what happened between her and Caroline’s mum Christine Flack after she pointed fingers at her.<\/p>\n

Lou said: ‘With parents it does cause conflict because it’s the worst case scenario for anybody\u2026 And all you’re going to think is whose fault was it?<\/p>\n

‘I know what happened. I was there, I know what I’m comfortable with. I personally don’t blame anybody and I panic about blame because it creates another vulnerable person.’<\/p>\n

Revealing she has tried to steer clear of the ‘blame game’, Lou said: ‘Without going into anything private, I personally have tried my best to stay away from any conversations about who was in the wrong or whatever.’<\/p>\n

Lou also discussed the death of Liam, who passed away almost a year ago age 31 after falling from a balcony in\u00a0Buenos Aires, Argentina.<\/p>\n

The mother of one was also friends with Liam after working as One Direction’s make-up artist during their time on X factor and beyond.<\/p>\n

Lou said she was ‘not surprised’ to learn that Liam had been struggling with his mental health prior to his death.\u00a0Liam’s death was characterised as a tragic accident.<\/p>\n

She said: ‘His friends, family, girlfriend.. a whole lot of people not qualified to look after mental health..’<\/p>\n

Caroline was found dead at her home in North East London on February 15, 2020, and her death was ruled a suicide in an inquest in August 2020.<\/p>\n

Lou had been taking care of Caroline and had popped out to the shops.<\/p>\n

When Lou could not regain access to Caroline’s home, she called her father Ian, who tragically found her dead.<\/p>\n

Lou reportedly wanted to do the ‘tell-all’ interview with Paul to try and rid herself of her ‘bad girl reputation\u00a0after getting together with her ex-boyfriend Andy Caroll so soon after his split from Billi Mucklow.<\/p>\n

A source told The Sun: ‘She feels like people have the wrong impression of her because she got together with Andy so soon after his marriage to Billi ended.<\/p>\n

‘They’ve been in the newspapers constantly lately – always breaking up and getting back together again – and Lou wants to set the record straight.<\/p>\n

‘She’s a girls girl and hates that people think she\u2019s behaved badly towards another woman and feels her relationship is different to how it’s perceived by others.’<\/p>\n

Caroline’s mother Christine is central to an upcoming documentary about the late star on Disney+, which will forensically detail her last 24 hours and try to give some answers as to why she died \u2013 and whether her life could have been saved.<\/p>\n

One of the questions that Christine has been desperately seeking answers to is why Lou, and fellow friend Mollie Grosberg, left Caroline alone in her flat on the day she took her own life – with the Love Island star having made a previous suicide attempt the day before.<\/p>\n

In January, Lou shared a heartbreaking post about suicide in which she insisted that she did ‘her best’ to help Caroline amid her mental health struggles.<\/p>\n

After setting up an Ask Me Anything on Instagram, a fan wrote to her: ‘If someone is intent on suicide, nothing will stop them. You did your best, dont 4get that [sic].’<\/p>\n

Reflecting on her experience, Lou responded: ‘Suicide has affected my life a lot over the past 10 years. As it does for many many people. If it’s not you suffering personally it’s someone around you.’<\/p>\n

She continued: ‘I am currently working with an amazing charity Body and Soul.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Since experiencing and doing my best to care for 2 separate close friends around me attempting suicide numerous times without getting the professional help they need before inevitably seeing it through, I identified that between what our\u00a0NHS<\/a> and private health sectors offer and mental health “helplines” that raise millions of \u00a3\u00a3 a month in fundraising, there is quite literally NOTHING that actually works with and helps people who are suicidal.<\/p>\n

‘Body and Soul offer a one-of-a-kind 6 month support programme for individuals who attempt suicide and boast a 100% success rate with 0 reattempts from those who have been on their You Are Not Alone course.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘They also offer free online workshops for people close to those who attempt who are, like me, completely unqualified but on front-line supporting someone going through this. I always say suicide is contagious.<\/p>\n

‘One suicide creates enough trauma around those involved there becomes a risk of further suicides without proper support.<\/p>\n

‘After researching a lot of different initiatives this is the only one that has stood out to me that has REAL on-the-ground impact with the work they do.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Reach out to them if you feel you need some help right now, or give them a follow and donate if you can. [sic]’<\/p>\n

As well as her post, Lou and her boyfriend Andy Carroll made a \u00a31000 donation to the charity’s\u00a0You Are Not Alone programme.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The post comes after a close friend of Lou’s told the Mail’s Katie Hind of the anguish over her fallout with Christine.<\/p>\n

‘Why was it down to Caroline’s friends to look after her?’they asked. ‘Where was her family? Louise had to get back to her young daughter, she couldn’t stay any longer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘They had been with Caroline for hours and hours and they tried to get her to go to hospital but she wouldn’t. They remained at her flat to make sure she was OK but they couldn’t stay there indefinitely, so they went.<\/p>\n

‘It is devastating that they now have Caroline’s mother blaming them. Christine was once so close to Lou but not any more.<\/p>\n

‘Caroline’s death has haunted her friends and changed their lives, and there is a view that she should be left to rest in peace.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘But this documentary is going to drag everything up and, whether it intends to or not, runs the risk of laying blame in certain places.’<\/p>\n

Lou has been slowly rebuilding her life in the wake of her best friend’s death in February 2020 and has recently started dating footballer Andy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Andy\u00a0and TOWIE<\/a>\u00a0star wife Billi Mucklow, 36, confirmed their divorce in September after secretly separating earlier this year, having been together for 11 years.<\/p>\n

He said in a statement: ‘Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings.’<\/p>\n

Despite claims Billi was ‘blindsided’ by the relationship, friends of hers say that she ‘knew Andy had someone’ but she just wasn’t sure who it was. She found out about Lou shortly before the romance was made public.<\/p>\n

Last month, Andy seemingly took a swipe at his estranged wife\u00a0as he broke his silence over his new romance with\u00a0Lou.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Times<\/a> Andy gushed:\u00a0‘I’ve seen a different world since I’ve been with Lou, This Christmas<\/a>, like she does every Christmas, she will go with her daughter to look after the isolated elderly. \u00a0<\/p>\n

‘She’s a volunteer for Choose Love and a campaigner for LGBTQ<\/a>+. She says to me, “Why would you hate anyone?'” That’s someone I need in my life.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
