The Meta Quest 3S<\/a> already offered one of the most affordable ways to step into the immersive world of virtual reality. We said as much in our review, where we labeled it \u201cthe best VR headset<\/a> for the money.\u201d So what happens when you cross an already affordable VR headset with Amazon\u2019s October Prime Day<\/a>? You get a pretty darn epic gaming deal, that\u2019s what.<\/p>\n

For a limited time (no, really, this deal ends in less than 24 hours), the Meta Quest<\/a> 3S is on sale at Amazon<\/a>. There are two bundles to choose from: you can either score the Meta Quest S3 128GB for $249<\/a> (down from $299), or the Meta Quest 3S 256GB for $329 <\/a>(was $399). The 128GB model includes the Gorilla Tag DLC for free-to-play action-adventure title Cardboard Hero, while the 256GB model packs in the essential Batman: Arkham Shadow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Quest 3S is a streamlined version of the flagship Meta Quest 3<\/a>. It retains the same internal components found in its more expensive sibling, but also keeps the Quest 2\u2019s Fresnel lenses, with a smaller field of view and a lower resolution per eye. It\u2019s also a little bulkier and heavier. The battery life is also a sore spot; in our testing, it lasted for around 2.5 hours. Which isn’t the best.<\/p>\n

While some sacrifices have been made in the name of affordability, the Quest 3S is still among the best VR headsets<\/a> you can buy in 2025. \u201cThe Meta Quest 3S contains many of the Quest 3\u2019s signature features, including color passthrough, speedy performance, a compact design, and a robust app library. Though it\u2019s not as comfortable to wear and its battery life isn’t the best, its low starting price makes it an enticing product for those curious about VR,\u201d said Tom\u2019s Guide\u2019s reviewer, Tony Polanco.<\/p>\n

I swapped my PSVR 2<\/a> for a Meta Quest 3 last year, and the main reason was because of the Quest\u2019s phenomenal library of exclusives (and cause I\u2019m a sucker for wireless gaming tech). The hits include Asgard\u2019s Wrath 2<\/a>, Assassin\u2019s Creed Nexus VR, and, of course, Batman: Arkham Shadow.<\/p>\n

This Bat-tastic experience isn\u2019t a gimmicky VR novelty (ala 2016\u2019s tech demo-style Batman Arkham VR); instead, it’s a full-fat Arkham experience playable entirely in virtual reality. If you\u2019ve ever wanted to become the Bat, then this meaty VR game will let you live out that childhood dream. The cheaper 128GB model may appeal, but I recommend the 256GB bundle just for Arkham Shadow alone. It\u2019s among the best VR games ever made.<\/p>\n

The Quest 3 exclusives haven\u2019t dried up either. Next month will see the launch of Deadpool VR, which will let you become the (in)famous Merc with a Mouth in a VR game only playable on Meta Quest 3 and 3S. So, pick up this discounted Quest 3S now ahead of its upcoming launch on November 18.<\/p>\n
