Manchester United are facing a bold decision over their current managerial situation, as Ruben Amorim comes under increasing pressure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Red Devils slumped to a 15th-placed finish in the Premier League<\/a> last season, as performances and results left fans wanting more.<\/p>\n

After a summer of heavy recruitment, Manchester United<\/a> were ready to go again with a squad slightly better suited to Ruben Amorim<\/a> and his style.<\/p>\n

Plenty has been spent on the forward areas in particular, adding Benjamin Sesko<\/a>, Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> and Matheus Cunha<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So far, the results have been mixed as the side sit in tenth with ten points from their opening seven matches.<\/p>\n

Pressure is increasing on Amorim\u2019s job<\/a>, and for former Man United captain Roy Keane<\/a>, the replacement is obvious.<\/p>\n

As it stands, Man United seem unlikely to sack Amorim soon<\/a>, though the pressure continues to be piled on him.<\/p>\n

The manager will need better results, and fast, to help turn things around and ease the concerns over his future.<\/p>\n

If there is to be a change at the top, however, Roy Keane has called for Diego Simeone<\/a> to come in and take over.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Overlap, he said: \u201cI\u2019ve said it for years. I\u2019d like to see\u2026 I\u2019d like to come into it\u2026 Simeone. I\u2019d like to see him going down. I think he\u2019d cause havoc, but good havoc.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, no guarantee, but I just like to see his personality. I think I\u2019ll go with that.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople might think football, \u2018they scored five last week\u2019, this idea that he\u2019s defensive. Yeah, he doesn\u2019t\u2026 doesn\u2019t like to see if you\u2019ve got too many ball chances.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team and his players from a few years ago\u2026 but it\u2019s that fighting spirit. He\u2019s on the sideline causing\u2026 you know, you\u2019ve got to go like a big person. He gets talented players working, yeah, in a ridiculous way.\u201d<\/p>\n

It would be quite the stunning move, given Simeone\u2019s long-running association with Atletico Madrid, his style of play and personality.<\/p>\n

However, it may be the sort of change that Manchester United need.<\/p>\n

Diego Simeone has had quite the managerial career, spending time with Racing Club, Estudiantes, River Plate, San Lorenzo and Catania before his big break at Atletico Madrid.<\/p>\n
