The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued an urgent “do not eat” warning for a popular range of chicken nuggets; goujons and fillets sold in supermarkets all over the country.<\/p>\n
The specific batches of chicken being recalled include Pekish chicken goujons (all use by dates up to and including 14\/10\/2025); Pekish chicken nuggets (all use by dates up to and including 16\/10\/2025) and Pekish breaded chicken fillets (all use by dates up to and including 18\/10\/2025).<\/p>\n
The reason the products are being recalled by the FSAI is because the labels include incorrect cooking instructions.<\/p>\n
“Batches of Pekish breaded chicken products are being recalled due to incorrect cooking instructions on the label, which are insufficient to cook the products to a core temperature of 75\u00b0C. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale,” said the FSAI.<\/p>\n
“Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches,” the FSAI added.<\/p>\n

Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.<\/p>\n
Wholesalers\/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers and recall the implicated batches and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retailer customers.<\/p>\n
The Pekish chicken range is sold in SuperValu stores all over Ireland.<\/p>\n
