{"id":111877,"date":"2025-10-09T20:05:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T20:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/111877\/"},"modified":"2025-10-09T20:05:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T20:05:10","slug":"ai-wellbeing-platform-launched-by-sir-john-kirwan-health-nz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/111877\/","title":{"rendered":"AI wellbeing platform launched by Sir John Kirwan, Health NZ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/4MMT2FH_image_crop_109552\" width=\"1050\" height=\"700\" alt=\"John Kirwan\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"photo-captioned__information\">\nSir John Kirwan is helping to launch an AI-powered wellbeing guide.<br \/>\nPhoto: Supplied\n<\/p>\n<p>Rugby legend Sir John Kirwan is helping to launch the first AI-powered wellbeing guide for adults endorsed by Health New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>Mental Health Minister Matt Doocey said Ask Groov provides strategies for people with mild to moderate needs, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rnz.co.nz\/life\/relationships\/family\/we-teach-kids-to-look-after-their-bodies-here-s-how-to-do-the-same-for-a-healthy-mind\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">manage everyday challenges<\/a> such stress, sleep issues or relationship pressures.<\/p>\n<p>He said it would give people faster access to support, preventing problems from escalating.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Access to mental health support should never be a barrier. With Ask Groov, faster access to support is available 24\/7, when and where people need it,&#8221; Doocey said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By integrating innovative technology with expert clinical guidance, we are building a stronger mental health support system that reaches more people, faster.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said if a user needed more support, the tool automatically escalates them to human services such as 1737, a free national helpline for mental health and addiction support.<\/p>\n<p>The Ask Groov tool was co-founded by Kirwan and Adam Clark and Kirwan said it provides people with a safe space to ask their own questions in their own words and receive trusted, science-backed answers. He said the tool had been specifically designed for New Zealanders, with content that is reliable, evidence-based, and focused on wellbeing.
