{"id":11222,"date":"2025-08-20T09:08:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T09:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/11222\/"},"modified":"2025-08-20T09:08:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T09:08:11","slug":"fire-near-ifsc-leaves-section-of-luas-red-line-closed-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/11222\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire near IFSC leaves section of Luas Red line closed \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Luas Red Line services remain suspended on a section of the line after a major fire broke out yesterday near the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/ifsc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/ifsc\/\">International Financial Services Centre<\/a> (IFSC). <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Four <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin-fire-brigade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/dublin-fire-brigade\/\">fire engines<\/a>, a foam tender and a water tanker attended the fire at George\u2019s Dock near the IFSC. The fire occurred in an open patch of ground under the George\u2019s Dock Bridge. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Luas Red Line services between Connolly Station and the Point have been suspended, with Luas saying that it envisages \u201cthis change may last a period of time as we wait for information in relation to the fire damage in the area and clearance in relation to the bridge, Luas infrastructure including overhead power lines. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cWe advise all customers to listen to traffic and travel updates and to follow Luas web, Luas X.\u201d <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u26a0\ufe0fThe Luas Red Line Service is running from Tallaght \/ Saggart to Connolly Stop only.<\/p>\n<p>There is no service from Connolly to The Point Luas Stop.<\/p>\n<p>This is due\u00a0to a fire yesterday in George\u2019s Dock.
