\n\tReese Witherspoon\u2019s monthly book club has teamed up with WhatsApp<\/a> to connect with more of its readers globally.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the partnership, Reese\u2019s Book Club members can use the private messaging app to chat through the latest book club selections, exchange voice notes and discuss plot theories with other readers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cReese\u2019s Book Club has become a cultural force, curating books that bring joy and champion women\u2019s voices,\u201d Kristin Perla, Hello Sunshine\u2019s SVP of Brands & Strategic Partnerships, said in a statement. \u201cWhatsApp gives our community the space to stay connected, share their love of reading, and turn book moments into lasting relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tReaders can join the official Reese\u2019s Book Club channel through the platform for real-time updates,\u00a0 exclusive content, voice notes from authors, monthly book pick parties and interactive polls.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe channel will also offer updates from Witherspoon on her U.S. book tour later this year for her new thriller novel she co-wrote with Harlan Coben, \u201cGone Before Goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhatsApp is an integral part of connecting people around the world, especially through a love of shared interests,\u201d Vivian Odior, global head of marketing at WhatsApp, added. \u201cReese\u2019s Book Club has built a passionate, dedicated community just like us, and we are excited to help connect readers on a deeper level than ever before through this partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhatsApp will also introduce a community hub for book club members in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Tenn., Charleston, S.C. and St. Louis.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe hubs are designed to make it easier to connect with fellow book lovers locally, receive announcements and organize and join relevant sub-groups to discuss anything from local bookstores to trending titles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSince launching Reese\u2019s Book Club in 2017, Witherspoon has selected more than 100 titles within her collection, including \u201cLittle Fires Everywhere,\u201d \u201cThe Giver of Stars,\u201d \u201cThe Last Mrs. Parrish\u201d and \u201cWhere the Crawdads Sing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe book club is part of Hello Sunshine, which produces scripted and unscripted TV, feature films, animated series, podcasts, audio storytelling and digital series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tHello Sunshine is owned by Candle Media, the media roll-up company led by Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs and backed by Blackstone\u2019s private-equity business.<\/p>\n
