The award-winning Butt Drama Circle stage two thrilling short plays at the Balor Theatre in the coming weeks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The one-act productions of \u2018A Dog\u2019s Life\u2019 and \u2018The Ripple Effect\u2019 will both be performed on Thursday October 23rd and and Friday 24th.<\/p>\n

The club is currently preparing to hit the road on this year\u2019s theatre festival circuit with The Ripple Effect, a tense and thought-provoking one-act play by Robert Scott, directed by Shaun Laverty.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no doubt that Eva has murdered Timothy \u2014 she\u2019s still holding the gun. But what drove her to kill? Was it fate, or simply a random collision of people and circumstances? As the story rewinds to its beginning, audiences are invited to piece together the truth and decide for themselves who \u2014 or what \u2014 is ultimately to blame.<\/p>\n

Described as gripping, intelligent, and emotionally charged, The Ripple Effect explores how small moments and choices can have lasting consequences<\/p>\n

This production marks the Butt Drama Circle\u2019s entry into the 2025 All Ireland One Act Festival Circuit, and boasts an award winning local cast including Mickey McMahon, Daireen McMenamin, Michael Given-King and Donnamarie Doherty.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is a warm-hearted one-act play by Pamela Valentine, and directed by the Butt Drama Circle\u2019s Bernie Thompson. It is sure to leave audiences smiling (and maybe sniffling) from start to finish.<\/p>\n

Set in a bustling kennel, the play follows four canine companions (Kathleen McGowan, Rachel Marley, Christopher Quinn and Sinead Doherty-Heapes) as they share stories, hopes, and misadventures while waiting for their forever homes. With sharp wit and genuine warmth, Valentine captures the joy, loyalty, and occasional mischief that make man\u2019s best friend such a beloved part of our lives.<\/p>\n
