Speaking on TalkSport, the elder Gallagher brother admitted the night out in one of Dublin\u2019s most beloved and traditional musical pubs had left him the worse for wear. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cIt went on. It went on,\u201d he said. \u201cIt eventually finished, [and] we had to get a flight home, but it went on for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He said there had been\u201d a lot of singing, a lot of drinking and a lot of talking nonsense &#8230; It was quite a night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">As the Croke Park curtain came down on the band\u2019s comeback, Noel said he was \u201cfeeling on top of the world [and] couldn\u2019t be any better\u201d. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph b-it-article-body__interstitial-link\">[\u00a0<a aria-label=\"Open related story\" class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2025\/08\/18\/did-you-see-oasis-at-croke-park-share-your-experience\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Did you see Oasis at Croke Park? Share your experienceOpens in new window<\/a>\u00a0]<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He told the phone-in football show that he had been \u201ccompletely blown away\u201d by the fans\u2019 reception to the band getting back together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cIt\u2019s difficult to put into words, actually. Every night is the crowd\u2019s first night, so every night\u2019s got that kind of same energy to it. It\u2019s been truly amazing. I\u2019m not usually short for words but I can\u2019t really articulate it at the minute to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He said that before the tour\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2025\/07\/08\/oasis-in-cardiff-this-was-emotional-for-the-manchester-irish-diaspora-its-like-family\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/music\/2025\/07\/08\/oasis-in-cardiff-this-was-emotional-for-the-manchester-irish-diaspora-its-like-family\/\">opening night in Cardiff<\/a> earlier this summer he had \u201cgrossly underestimated what I was getting into\u201d, and five minutes after appearing on stage in front of tens of thousands of adoring fans, he could feel his legs \u201cturning to jelly\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He soldiered on and fans would have been oblivious to his reaction to the acclaim, but Gallagher half wished he could go back to the dressingroom to get himself together \u201cand start again\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">With the world tour about to start, he said he was most looking forward to playing the River Plate football stadium in Argentina\u2019s capital, Buenos Aires, in November, which will be the band\u2019s second-last show of the tour. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He said it was \u201cwithout a doubt in the top five places for us to play in the world\u201d and a \u201cspecial, special, special place for us\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He expressed pride and a degree of wonder at how his younger brother <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/liam-gallagher\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/liam-gallagher\">Liam<\/a> \u2013 a person he has not always seen eye to eye with \u2013 was conducting himself on the tour so far, although he added that expressing emotion in a huggy fashion was not really the Gallagher way. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cI\u2019m the songwriter, you know what I mean? I\u2019m not really a singer but Liam is smashing it. I am proud of him. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cHaving been the frontman in a band for 16 years, I know how difficult it is and seeing him I know I couldn\u2019t do the stadium thing like he does. It is not in my nature. But I\u2019ve got to say I kind of look at him and I think, Good for you.
