The figure was higher than August\u2019s 4.4 per cent \u2013 which was the lowest growth since February \u2013 and surpassed the 5.65 per cent forecast by Chinese financial data provider Wind.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Imports in September stood at US$238.1 billion, rising to a 17-month high of 7.4 per cent year on year \u2013 an improvement from August\u2019s 1.3 per cent and exceeding Wind\u2019s 1.37 per cent forecast. China\u2019s trade surplus came in at US$90.45 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts attributed the rebound in exports to a recovery in global manufacturing, supported by expansionary fiscal and monetary policies in major economies.
