{"id":119780,"date":"2025-10-13T18:14:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T18:14:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/119780\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T18:14:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T18:14:07","slug":"nine-new-ev-recharging-hubs-announced-for-kerry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/119780\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine new EV recharging hubs announced for Kerry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nine new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiokerry.ie\/news\/electric-vehicles\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">electric vehicle<\/a> (EV) recharging hubs have been announced across Kerry\u2019s national road network.<\/p>\n<p>They are part of an announcement of 90 new hubs across Ireland by the Minister for Transport, Darragh O\u2019Brien.<\/p>\n<p>Almost \u20ac10 million will fund 192 fast recharging points, averaging 250 kW, across the 90 sites on Ireland\u2019s national primary and secondary road network.<\/p>\n<p>The new hubs are part of the Light Duty Vehicle (LDV) initiative, operated by Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland (ZEVI) and delivered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tii.ie\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Transport Infrastructure Ireland<\/a> (TII).<\/p>\n<p>The hubs at service stations, car parks, hotels, supermarkets, and other publicly accessible sites were funded by the department following a competitive grant process.<\/p>\n<p>These EV recharging hubs in Kerry will be located at Garvey&#8217;s SuperValu, Castleisland (N23); Kelly&#8217;s Top Service Station (N69); Cirkle K Express, Waterville (N70); Murphy&#8217;s SuperValu, Kenmare (N70); Corrib Oil, Kenmare (N71); Hegarty&#8217;s Service Station, Killarney (N71); Donagh Hickey Motors, Rathmore (N72); Keane&#8217;s SuperValu, Killorglin (N72); and O&#8217;Shea&#8217;s Gala, Blennerville (N86).<\/p>\n<p>The Light Duty Vehicle (LDV)\u2019s Phase Three EV recharging infrastructure is expected to be available for public use by the end of March 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Nine new electric vehicle (EV) recharging hubs have been announced across Kerry\u2019s national road network.
