Actress Goldie Hawn<\/a><\/strong> recently lost a dear friend, Diane Keaton<\/a><\/strong>, who died on Oct. 11, but on Monday, she took a moment to share a positive reminder with fans and friends on social media.<\/p>\n

The 79-year-old movie star took to Instagram on Oct. 13, posting a photo of someone who was likely her elegantly jumping on the beach amid a beautiful sunset. In the caption, she shared a succinct yet poignant message as she told fans, “Let it go today. Feel joy \ud83e\ude77.”<\/p>\n

Hawn also posted the image and message on the account of her nonprofit organization, The Goldie Hawn Foundation, which runs a program called MindUP focusing on educating people about how to improve their mental and emotional health.<\/p>\n

Fans Thanked Hawn for Her Important Message<\/p>\n

Fans thanked Hawn for the positive words and noted how helpful the reminder was in the comments, such as one who wrote, “I was clenching my jaw until I read this \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f.”<\/p>\n

“Thank you for the reminder,” said another, as a third commented, “Thank you. Positive thoughts have disappeared and are elusive…When we begin to have these feelings it’s good to remember, you’re alive and that’s amazing.”<\/p>\n

A different fan chimed in to say, “I just absolutely love you @goldiehawn \u2764\ufe0f want to tell you while I can. Needed this.”<\/p>\n

Someone else referenced the recent death of Keaton, who was a close friend of Hawn’s, writing the kind message, “Diane is jumping high beside you always, cheering you on \u2764\ufe0f.”<\/p>\n

Hawn Opened up About Her Emotions in Her Last Update<\/p>\n

In her previous update, Hawn paid tribute to Keaton and their friendship<\/a> in a message that had fans emotional.<\/p>\n

“How do we say goodbye? What words can come to mind when your heart is broken?” she wrote of Keaton’s death.<\/p>\n

Revealing a special promise the two women had, Hawn went on, “We agreed to grow old together, and one day, maybe live together with all our girlfriends. Well, we never got to live together, but we did grow older together.”<\/p>\n

“Who knows\u2026 maybe in the next life. Shine your fairy dust up there, girlfriend. I\u2019m going to miss the hell out of you… I love you,” she concluded.<\/p>\n

Soon after Hawn uploaded the post, fans praised the tribute and thanked her for sharing such a personal message.<\/p>\n

Keaton was 79 years old at the time of her death, the same age as Hawn. The two women were very close over the years, starring in two films together, The First Wives Club<\/a> and Town & Country.<\/p>\n
