Some even ironically describe themselves as AI detectors \u2013 tools for detecting AI-generated content.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The proliferation of cheap generative AI tools has enabled paper mills that previously relied on manual human labour to ramp up output.
