Mia Goth<\/a> has commented on whether or not she\u2019s still attached to the MCU<\/a> Blade<\/a><\/strong> movie.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios<\/a>\u2019 Blade movie has had trouble getting off the ground. The project was originally announced by Kevin Feige at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2019, at which point it was also revealed that Mahershala Ali<\/a> would play the titular character. Goth has also been cast in the film; however, it has been delayed numerous times, as several directors have been attached to the project over the years. The 2023 Hollywood strikes also contributed to the delays.<\/p>\n

What did Mia Goth say about the Blade movie?<\/p>\n

Speaking with Elle Magazine<\/a>, Goth, who is now starring in Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Frankenstein movie, confirmed that she\u2019s still attached to star in Marvel<\/a>\u2019s Blade movie at this time. She is believed to be playing Lilith, a villain who \u201ctries to take the blood from Blade\u2019s daughter,\u201d via Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Goth didn\u2019t have an update on the current pre-production status of Blade or if it\u2019ll begin filming at any point in the near future. She did, however, say that the delays might actually wind up being beneficial.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s for the best that it\u2019s taken the time that it has,\u201d Goth said. \u201cThey want to do it right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goth has made similar comments before about Blade. She said in 2024 that the people working on the movie \u201creally care, they do. They want to make a great movie. That\u2019s the sense that I get from them, and that feels good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite this, Blade still does not have a release date at this time. Most recently, the film had a November 2025 release date, though it was removed from Marvel\u2019s release date calendar entirely in October 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that a version of Blade did recently appear in the animated Marvel Zombies series; however, this is a variant who is combined with Moon Knight, and he was voiced by Todd Williams rather than Ali.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Mia Goth has commented on whether or not she\u2019s still attached to the MCU Blade movie.
