Charli xcx<\/a> knows what you think about her. In fact the singer, who appears on the cover of Vanity Fair<\/a>\u2019s November 2025 issue, is always interested by how audiences see her. Speaking to the magazine, Charli opened up about her party girl image and reflected on who she\u2019ll be once her brat<\/a> era<\/a> is over.<\/p>\n Speaking about her relationship with the press, Charli admitted that she reads everything written about her. \u201cIt\u2019s fascinating to see how people ingest your personality and spit it back out\u2014what people cling on to, what people miss,\u201d she said. As for how her personality has been ingested by \u201cthe casual viewer\u201d in recent years, the singer said, \u201cThey probably think I\u2019m a girl who parties and does drugs and is a little bit bitchy.\u201d <\/p>\n Recent tabloid rumors have proven that Charli isn\u2019t wrong about how she\u2019s perceived. Why else would fans be convinced that Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s new song \u201cActually Romantic\u201d<\/a> is about her based almost solely on the lyric, \u201cI heard you call me \u2018Boring Barbie\u2019 when the coke\u2019s got you brave\u201d? (Charli declined to comment on the speculation.) <\/p>\n And while a party girl persona might bother some, Charli doesn\u2019t seem all that concerned. When asked about her brat era coming to an end, she said, \u201cI don\u2019t really get to decide when it\u2019s over or not.\u201d At the end of the day, the culture, the media, the fans\u2014they\u2019ll decide for her. \u201cI think that\u2019s up to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n Joseph Okpako\/WireImage<\/p>\n As for how she\u2019ll be perceived once brat is over, she\u2019s not so sure. \u201cThe end will be interesting,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause then I have to look at myself in a different way and be stripped of the thing that everyone identified me with.\u201d <\/p>\n That said, Charli isn\u2019t inauthentic. \u201cI hate this phrase, but what you see is what you get with me,\u201d she said, adding that her whole life isn\u2019t a \u201cperformance.\u201d <\/p>\n She explained, \u201cI\u2019m not sat here talking to you being the way that I am onstage. But I think there is a correlation in that there\u2019s a messiness and a lack of perfection. It\u2019s the combination of talking about those things whilst also embracing them and really struggling with them is what makes me whole.
