Coronation Street’s Abi Webster desperately considers a life of crime next week, as she wonders whether to steal a car. With no job at the garage, and inspired by lover Carl’s dodgy dealings, Abi eyes up a vehicle that Dylan Wilson refuses to nick. But will she go through with it when her sister-in-law Debbie arrives?<\/p>\n

“Since her fling was exposed<\/a>, Abi’s life is a shambles,” our Corrie source explains. “It comes as no shock that both her and Carl have been given the boot from Kevin’s business<\/a>, but they hadn’t thought about their future. And Carl’s risky plans leave Abi reeling\u2026”<\/p>\n

What to Read Next<\/p>\n

Following their split<\/a>, Kevin is shocked to see that Abi has already begun divorce proceedings. When the letter arrives in the post, it’s a wake-up call to poor Kevin that their marriage is dead and buried.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, as Abi and Carl bemoan their unemployment following their betrayal, Carl turns back to his life of crime. After showcasing his softer side by helping Debbie at the hotel, Carl summons his minion Dylan for a new job.<\/p>\n

However, when Dylan refuses to steal the car that Carl has lined up, Abi makes a note of it. Suspicious Debbie clocks this odd behaviour in her sister-in-law and follows her, but when Abi finds the motor in question at Freschos’ car park, she hesitates.<\/p>\n

Will Debbie catch Abi trying to steal? Or will Abi’s conscience outweigh her desperate need for cash? <\/p>\n

Speaking to us at a Corrie press event last week, show producer Kate Brooks named Abi and Carl’s story as one to watch out for this Christmas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Abi believes that she’s secured an exciting fresh start with Carl, there are various red flags which cast doubt over his long-term commitment. And of course, Abi still doesn’t know about his fling with James Bailey\u2026<\/p>\n

“We’ve also got the Websters [at Christmas],” Brooks said. “You’ve got Tyrone and Fiz<\/a>, and the Abi\/Carl\/James story<\/a> is all still going on. Abi hasn’t got a scooby that that’s happening!<\/p>\n

“Also, Tyrone still doesn’t know the truth about Carl and the car<\/a>. So there are things which are bubbling \u2013 and ready to kick off\u2026”<\/p>\n
