\n\tNetflix<\/a> has rounded out the cast of the upcoming series take on \u201c,\u201d Variety has learned. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe streamer has added 11 new cast members to the series, which was first announced in February<\/a> with Omar Sy in the lead role. The new cast members are:<\/p>\n

\n\tSacha Dhawan<\/strong> (\u201cThe Great,\u201d \u201cDr. Who\u201d), Ross McCall<\/strong> (\u201cSilo,\u201d \u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 The Final Reckoning\u201d), Pip Torrens<\/strong> (\u201cThe Crown, Succession\u201d), Sam Woolf<\/strong> (\u201cWe Were the Lucky Ones,\u201d \u201cNeuromancer\u201d), Michael Zananiri<\/strong> (\u201cOnce Upon a Time in Gaza,\u201d \u201cAn Orange from Jaffa\u201d), Riyad Sliman <\/strong>(\u201cRamy,\u201d \u201cPalestine 36\u201d), Muhannad Ben Amor<\/strong> (\u201cAndor,\u201d \u201cBelieve Me\u201d), Aaron Heffernan<\/strong> (\u201cBrassic,\u201d \u201cFemme\u201d), Jojo Macari<\/strong> (\u201cThose About to Die,\u201d \u201cSex Education\u201d), Theo Ogundipe<\/strong> (\u201cMickey 17,\u201d \u201cTop Boy\u201d) and Emma Appleton<\/strong> (\u201cEverything I Know About Love,\u201d \u201cThe Witcher\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tAlong with Sy, the new additions join a cast that already includes Boyd Holbrook, Natalie Dormer, Waleed Zuaiter, May Calamawy, and Ed Speleers. Netflix has commissioned an eight-episode first season.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe official logline for the series states, \u201cIn this action-packed thriller, a mercenary (Sy) embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hostages in Libya. Trapped between warring factions and ruthless killers, he must navigate life-or-death choices while confronting deep emotional wounds. The series explores the trauma, betrayal, and moral conflicts of characters pushed to the edge.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tGlen Mazzara serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the \u201cExtraction\u201d series. Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes and Chris Castaldi executive produce for AGBO, with Sam Hargrave, Eric Gitter, and Peter Schwerin also executive producing.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first \u201cExtraction\u201d film, which starred Chris Hemsworth, was released on Netflix in 2020. Hemsworth returned for the sequel in 2023. The films were based on the graphic novel \u201cCiudad\u201d by Ande Parks. Joe Russo wrote the screenplay for both films and produced along with Anthony, Gitter, and Schwerin. Hargrave directed both films, with AGBO producing.<\/p>\n
