Alec Baldwin<\/a> said he and his brother Stephen Baldwin<\/a> were involved in a collision after he crashed the car he was driving into a tree in the Hamptons on Monday.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to Instagram, Alec, 67, said he was driving with his brother in his wife Hilaria Baldwin\u2019s<\/a> Range Rover in East Hampton, N.Y., when a large garbage truck caused him to veer off the road and hit \u201ca big, fat tree.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis morning, I was in a car accident. A guy cut me off in a truck, a big garbage truck the size of a whale,\u201d Alec said in the video. \u201cIt must have been something commercial, taking away material from a construction site. It was the biggest garbage truck I\u2019ve ever seen.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo avoid hitting him, I hit a tree. I hit a big, fat tree. It crushed my wife\u2019s car\u2026. It\u2019s all fine. I\u2019m fine and my brother\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 30 Rock actor thanked the East Hampton Police Department \u201cfor coming to my aid,\u201d and specifically shouted out an officer named Gerken, whom he called a \u201clovely guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife\u2019s car is pretty smashed up. Big tree, big, fat tree,\u201d Alec repeated before speaking about how proud he is of his wife for competing on Dancing with the\u00a0Stars\u00a0following her recent elimination.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m still so proud of my wife. Hilaria, I love you more than anything and I\u2019m very proud of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hilaria also addressed concerns after Alec\u2019s car crash and shared an update on Instagram with the caption, \u201cThank you for checking in. Alec is ok. Be safe to all of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, I\u2019m getting a lot of messages about the accident that Alec was in today, the car accident and I just want you to know he\u2019s OK, Stephen is OK, everybody is OK,\u201d she said. \u201cNo one was hurt and that\u2019s the most important thing. So I love you and thank you, thank you, thank you for caring.\u201d<\/p>\n
