The latest addition to the underwear range, a barely there thong with fake pubic hair, has raised a few eyebrows, to say the least.<\/p>\n
Dubbed \u201cthe ultimate bush\u201d, the thong comes in a range of 12 different colours and sizes.<\/p>\n
Visitors to the Skims site are greeted with a scene from a 1970s-style game show, in which a male host gestures to a sign saying \u201cDoes the Carpet Match the Drapes?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
In front of him are three women in strappy tops, each holding a sign with a large question mark in front of them.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The scene shows one of the women taking away the sign to reveal what Skims is describing as its \u201cmost daring panty yet\u201d.<\/p>\n
While Kardashian\u2019s shapewear brand is known for grabbing headlines, her latest move has received a lot of backlash online.<\/p>\n
\nIrish radio, TV, and podcast host Louise Duffy shared her thoughts on Instagram yesterday after reading a post by founder, educator and activist Pat Kane.<\/p>\n
\u201cI read Pat Kane\u2019s post about the chaos of the fashion industry, how badly people are paid, and how many people want to pay $42 for a piece of hairy material called the Skims Bush,\u201d Duffy said on Instagram.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should be so insulted. We should be so insulted at that b******t. It\u2019s like, people like Kim Kardashian are just testing the boundaries of the blind, servile loyalty of their followers. They\u2019re just testing how stupid people are.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s crazy. Your woman from Calabasas who has promoted beauty standards to the point that there\u2019s not a rib of hair on 80%, 90% of female bodies.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a woman, as a mother, this chaos has to stop.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the post by Kane that Duffy is referring to, she says: \u201cAccording to data from Our World in Data, the average daily income globally in 2023 was approximately USD 22.45. DAILY INCOME.<\/p>\n
