Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> has spoofed\u00a0Sex and the City<\/a>\u00a0in a new teaser to mark her appearance on this week\u2019s upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.<\/a><\/p>\n

Off the back of her new album \u2018Man\u2019s Best Friend\u2019, the pop star will appear on the third episode of the iconic show\u2019s 51st season on October 18 as both host and musical guest.<\/p>\n

It will be the first time Carpenter has hosted, but she was previously a musical guest on season 49. The musician was also part of the show\u2019s 50th anniversary celebrations back in February,\u00a0<\/a>at one point appearing in a sketch where she sang an off-key version of \u2018Espresso\u2019.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s season 51 premiere had Bad Bunny<\/a> booked to host on October 4, while Doja Cat<\/a> made her SNL debut as musical guest. SNL\u00a0alumna Amy Poehler returned to host on October 11, with Role Model as the musical guest.<\/p>\n

In a teaser for the upcoming episode, Carpenter can be seen channelling Carrie Bradshaw as she sips on a Cosmopolitan, writes on a laptop and meets her \u2018Mr Big\u2019. \u201cNew York is one big apple, and I\u2019m taking my bite at\u00a0Saturday Night Live,\u201d she says at the top of the sketch. Carpenter has also been announced as one of the headliners of next year\u2019s Coachella alongside\u00a0Justin Bieber<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Karol G<\/a>. After days of speculation, she was confirmed to be closing out the Friday night of both weekends at the desert music festival.<\/p>\n

Coachella 2026 will take place between April 10 and 12, and again on April 17 to 19. As for tickets,\u00a0you\u2019ll be able to get yours here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Man\u2019s Best Friend\u2019 scored a four-star review from\u00a0NME<\/a>, with Nick Levine writing: \u201cMusically, this album isn\u2019t markedly different from its predecessor, though it has a few more country-leaning cuts sprinkled among the daytime disco and featherlight funk.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt also sticks to Carpenter\u2019s winning formula of pairing sticky melodies with pithy lyrics about the flaws and allure of inadequate males. If there were a Bechdel Test for pop albums, \u2018Man\u2019s Best Friend\u2019 wouldn\u2019t be in danger of passing it.\u201d<\/p>\n
