{"id":12807,"date":"2025-08-21T01:24:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T01:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/12807\/"},"modified":"2025-08-21T01:24:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T01:24:08","slug":"glanmire-minor-footballers-show-great-character-to-reel-in-eire-og-with-two-late-goals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/12807\/","title":{"rendered":"Glanmire minor footballers show great character to reel in \u00c9ire \u00d3g with two late goals\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">\n             Glanmire 2-12 (2-2-8) \u00c9ire \u00d3g 3-7 (3-0-7)\u00a0\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A magnificent closing 10 minutes from Glanmire yielded two goals and ended \u00c9ire Og\u2019s unbeaten run in the Rebel \u00d3g Premier 1 MFC at Glanmire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In a highly entertaining game, Glanmire came good when the game hung in the balance to save their season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The visitors almost raised the opening green flag just two minutes into the game but after Cian O\u2019Flynn was left with a one-on-one with only the goalkeeper to beat his finish let him down.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Harry Browne edged Glanmire ahead a minute later from a placed ball but in an all-action game, \u00c9ire \u00d3g punished the home side on their next possession.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Glanmire defence looked all at sea when Darragh Sheehan was given a free passage to goal before finishing with precision to the corner of the net. They showed more resilience and a stunning Browne two-pointer and one from Cathal Galvin restored their one-point lead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Ovens came again and deep into added time levelled proceedings 0-7 to 1-4 courtesy of a Sean Hurley point.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The home team were dealt a blow on the restart when \u00c9ire \u00d3g exposed some more poor defending with Hurley finding the back of the net after just 50 seconds.
