Jeremy Saulnier<\/strong>\u00a0(Green Room,\u00a0Rebel Ridge) is back in the\u00a0A24<\/strong>\u00a0business with the upcoming\u00a0October<\/strong>, and Deadline<\/a> reports today that Chase Sui Wonders<\/strong> (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Sophie Wilde<\/strong> (Talk to Me) have signed on to star in the movie.<\/p>\n

Cory Michael Smith<\/strong>, who played \u201cSNL\u201d alum Chevy Chase in Jason Reitman\u2019s based-on-true-events movie\u00a0Saturday Night, will also star in the Halloween-set \u201chorror action thriller.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deadline details, \u201cNo word on the role Smith will be playing in\u00a0October.\u00a0Plot details are being kept under wraps, but sources described the project as a fugitive thriller set during Halloween. Saulnier will direct from his own script, with A24 producing and financing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Producers for the film include\u00a0Rich Peete, Eli Bush, and Jeremy Saulnier & Skei Saulnier, with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie, Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley and Macon Blair.<\/p>\n

Macon Blair, who previously starred in Saulnier\u2019s films\u00a0Murder Party, Blue Ruin\u00a0and\u00a0Green Room,\u00a0directed upcoming reboot\u00a0The Toxic Avenger<\/a>, only in theaters on August 29, 2025.<\/p>\n
