The Diplomat<\/a> returned with Season 3 this week, and it picks up right where the Season 2 finale ended, with Kate (Keri Russell<\/a>) accusing Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) of hatching a terrorist plot, but all of that doesn\u2019t matter now because the president is dead \u2014 with Hal (Rufus Sewell) inadvertently killing him \u2014 and Grace is now the leader of the free world. With this new season, Janney has been upped to a recurring character from a guest star, while Bradley Whitford joins as Todd Penn, Grace\u2019s husband.\"Two<\/p>\n

That’s right, The Diplomat has staged one of the best<\/a> The West Wing<\/a> reunions ever<\/a>, with Janney and Whitford reuniting in the White House 19 years after The West Wing concluded. And, with the show already being renewed for a Season 4, Janney and Whitford have been upped to series regulars. Honestly, if you\u2019re a fan of TV dramas, the combined force of Russell, Janney, and Whitford, who have starred in two of the best political dramas of all time in The Americans and The West Wing, The Diplomat is the perfect thing for you.\"Two<\/p>\n

Set in the 1990s, Boots<\/a> is a new series that follows Cameron Cope (Miles Heizer), a closeted gay American teenager, who impulsively enlists in the United States Marine Corps alongside his best friend, Ray McAffey (Liam Oh). Boots wasn\u2019t initially on my radar for this fall, but it has stolen my heart, led by a mesmerizing performance by Heizer, who I\u2019ve loved since Parenthood. It\u2019s a refreshingly funny coming-of-age story that perfectly balances serious topics, especially given the story’s setting, while also making it humorous and relatable.\"Two<\/p>\n

Basically, the series charmed me. If you end up binge-watching the whole series, I highly recommend this interview with Heizer<\/a>, where he talks about his own coming-out story and how important Boots is to him. And, if you want even more, the show is actually based on Greg Cope White\u2019s memoir titled The Pink Marine<\/a>.\"Marine<\/p>\n

Glen Powell and the Chad Powers cast swung by to play a game of Who\u2019s Who to see how well they know each other, and so we could get to know this hilarious cast a little better, too. From who\u2019s most likely to cause a castmate to break character while filming to who is most like their character, the Chad Powers cast showed they have just as much fun off set as they do on it. We also tested their knowledge on their fellow cast members’ previous roles, like how one of them starred as Franken Girl on<\/a> Wizards of Waverly Place<\/a>, LOL. If you hear crying, it\u2019s probably me, because I still have not emotionally recovered from Dedication Night on Dancing with the Stars this week. From Boy Meets World and The Parent Trap reunions to dances between family, like Dylan Efron and his little sister<\/a>, it was an emotional night in the ballroom. However, nothing compared to Robert Irwin and Witney Carson\u2019s contemporary dance to \u201cYou\u2019ll Be in My Heart\u201d by Phil Collins, which Robert dedicated to his mom, Terri Irwin<\/a>.\"Two<\/p>\n

With Robert explaining, \u201cI want her to know how proud my dad would be of her.\u201d The whole ballroom was weeping. I was sobbing on my couch. Their dance was stunning and should\u2019ve earned a higher score<\/a>. Also, Netflix revealed the Bridgerton<\/a> Season 4 release date<\/a>!!! The next season will drop on Jan. 29, 2026, with the first four episodes, followed by the second part on Feb. 26, 2026. So, yes, Netflix is still (annoyingly) splitting things up into parts, but new Bridgerton is coming so soon. This season follows Benedict (Luke Thompson) as he crosses paths with Sophie (Yerin Ha), aka the mysterious Lady in Silver, at his mother\u2019s masquerade ball.\"Masked<\/p>\n

What is the best animated movie of all time?Personally, my favorite animated movie of all time is How to Train Your Dragon. In fact, I love it so much that it\u2019s in my Letterboxd Top 4<\/a>. I am utterly charmed by Hiccup and Toothless, and I love the story. Plus, I think How to Train Your Dragon has one of the greatest scores of all time \u2014 animated film or not. I get chills every single time \u201cTest Drive\u201d by John Powell<\/a> kicks in as Hiccup and Toothless successfully fly together for the first time<\/a>. Chills. While I think the first one is superior, I even enjoy the other two movies in the trilogy. All around, a great animated movie franchise.\"A<\/p>\n
