Fans are already buzzing about Hugh Jackman<\/strong> and Kate Hudson<\/strong>\u2018s upcoming musical biopic, Song Sung Blue \u2014 but according to an insider, it\u2019s got Jackman\u2019s girlfriend<\/a>, Broadway star Sutton Foster<\/strong>, feeling left out.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first thing people wonder when they see Song Sung Blue is, \u2018Hey, why isn\u2019t Sutton Foster in this movie with Hugh?\u2019\u201d the insider tells the National Enquirer, noting that Foster, 50, is \u201cthe right age, has the right look\u201d and is also an accomplished singer.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, the vision for this project required that Hugh star opposite somebody who was equally famous<\/a>,\u201d says the insider, explaining that Foster is widely viewed as more of a \u201ctheater star\u201d rather than a movie actress. \u201cYou\u2019re starting to see where feelings can get hurt, especially for somebody like Sutton who puts too much importance into her acting and musical accomplishments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Song Sung Blue, which will hit theaters on Christmas Day, stars Jackman, 57, and Hudson, 46, as husband and wife musicians Mike<\/strong> and Claire Sardina<\/strong> as they form the Neil Diamond<\/strong> tribute band, Lightning & Thunder.<\/p>\n

The flick \u201cwas a small movie for Hugh, just a few weeks of rehearsing and shooting and nothing to get bent out of shape about,\u201d says the insider. Plus, \u201cHugh had wanted to work with Kate<\/a> for years, even before he and Sutton became an item.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSutton shouldn\u2019t feel left out,\u201d adds the insider. \u201cWith a big promotional tour ahead for Hugh and Kate, it\u2019s only going to get worse for Sutton, even if Hugh doesn\u2019t see what all the fuss is about!\u201d<\/p>\n
