This novel’s romance is between Kyrene and Septimus, \u201ctruly a fire-meets-ice pairing,\u201d according to the author.<\/p>\n

The story opens in a world ravaged by a decade of war between humans and vampires<\/a>. Kyrene, our bounty hunter, carries a sword gifted by the goddess of justice. But after a devastating loss, she seeks vengeance and commits a crime that puts a target on her back for both mortals and gods. To survive, she\u2019ll have to make a deal with her enemy, the \u201csilver-tongue vampire prince\u201d Septimus. He\u2019s eager for her help on a mission of his own to slay the gods. But as they embark on their journey, the two become unexpectedly \u2013 and dangerously \u2013 close. Which will prevail, love or revenge?<\/p>\n
