\n\tAriana Grande<\/a> can only speak for herself, but if you ask her, Imogen Heap<\/a>\u2018s sophomore album is one of the greatest collections of music ever made.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Friday (Oct. 17), the pop superstar took to her Instagram Story to gush about Speak for Yourself in honor of the LP\u2019s 20th anniversary \u2014 and Heap noticed. \u201cHappy 20th anniversary to Speak For Yourself @imogenheap i love you so,\u201d Grande wrote before catching her idol\u2019s attention shortly afterward.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEverything she\u2019s ever done and continues to do is perfect and also the most influential thing that has ever happened in music literally every time,\u201d Grande continued of Heap.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Wicked actress also shared screenshots of her favorite tracks: \u201cHeadlock,\u201d \u201cLoose Ends\u201d and \u201cHide and Seek,\u201d which Grande said \u201cchanged (literally) everything forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShortly after Grande\u2019s posts, Heap reshared one of them onto her own Story and wrote, \u201cWell @arianagrande I\u2019m pretty sure this album has been largely kept alive and revived by the likes of you too over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLove and respect so many things you\u2019ve done over the years,\u201d Heap added of Grande, who reacted to the shoutout with an Instagram sticker of a cat lying in a pool of tears. \u201cA fellow geek at heart also.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHeap dropped Speak for Yourself in 2005. It is considered one of the innovator\u2019s most quintessential works and debuted at No. 145 on the Billboard 200<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tGrande has been vocal in her adoration of Heap since the beginning of the Victorious alum\u2019s career. On her 2015 Honeymoon Tour, Grande incorporated Mi.Mu gloves<\/a> \u2014 which Heap developed and sent specially to the hitmaker \u2014 into her set. On 2018\u2019s Sweetener album, Grande interpolated<\/a> \u201cHide and Seek\u201d for her song \u201cGoodnight n Go.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHeap has also praised Grande in the past. \u201cI appreciate Ariana to the point where I get teary even talking about her,\u201d she told Billboard<\/a> of the vocalist this past January. \u201cShe remains consistently kind, thoughtful and open. Recently, I reached out to thousands of people ahead of an Auracles launch. When I spoke to Ariana about it, she was like, \u2018Whatever help you need, let me know.\u2019 Having that support from someone who is so high-profile and influential made me feel really validated. People say, \u2018Oh God, I am so busy\u2019 \u2013 but they can\u2019t possibly be as busy as Ariana Grande!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI am so grateful she found a connection with my work, and she has been so nice about what it means to her,\u201d Heap added at the time.<\/p>\n
