\n\tSelena Gomez<\/a> seems to be responding to recent remarks made by Hailey Bieber<\/a> about their respective beauty brands.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 33-year-old Only Murders in the Building star shared a social media post that many interpreted as a reaction to Bieber, 28, whose Rhode Beauty line is now available at Sephora alongside Gomez\u2019s Rare Beauty<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJust leave the girl alone,\u201d Gomez wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story<\/a> on Friday (Oct. 17). \u201cShe can say whatever she wants. Doesn\u2019t affect my life whatsoever. It\u2019s just about relevance not intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGomez, who recently married<\/a> producer Benny Blanco, went on to urge her followers to show kindness.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAll brands inspire me,\u201d she added. \u201cThere is room for everyone. And hopefully we can all stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHer post came days after Bieber\u2019s interview with WSJ Magazine<\/a>, where the model \u2014 who married Gomez\u2019s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber in 2018 \u2014 discussed Rhode\u2019s expansion and emphasized that she isn\u2019t interested in competing with other brands on store shelves.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s always annoying being pitted against other people,\u201d Bieber said. \u201cI didn\u2019t ask for that. When people want to see you a certain way and they\u2019ve made up a story about you in their minds, it\u2019s not up to you to change that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe added, \u201cI think there is space for everybody. I don\u2019t feel competitive with people that I\u2019m not inspired by.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough reports of an alleged feud between Gomez and Bieber have swirled over the years, both have denied any bad blood between them. In March 2023, Gomez came out in defense<\/a> of Bieber after after learning she was facing criticism online.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,\u201d Gomez wrote on Instagram post at the time. \u201cThis isn\u2019t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe added, \u201cI\u2019ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n
