LAS VEGAS (KSNV) \u2014 The Las Vegas Book Festival brought a touch of Disney magic this year as all five authors behind the popular \u201cMeant To Be\u201d romantic comedy series appeared together for the first time.<\/p>\n

The free, all-ages festival took place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Historic Fifth Street School in downtown Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMeant To Be\u201d panel featured bestselling authors Christina Lauren, Zoraida C\u00f3rdova, Jesse Q. Sutanto, Jasmine Guillory, and Julie Murphy \u2014 each known for reimagining a classic Disney animated fairy tale as a modern love story for adults. <\/p>\n

Although each novel stands alone, the series connects thematically through its playful and heartfelt approach to romance and reinvention.<\/p>\n

Festivalgoers heard the authors discuss their books, creative inspiration, and writing journeys, as well as how they collaborate and explore different genres.<\/p>\n

Now in its 24th year, the Las Vegas Book Festival celebrated literature across genres, with more than 100 published authors participating in panels, readings, and book signings throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Attendees explored a range of topics \u2014 from fantasy and horror to poetry and literary classics \u2014 across multiple stages, including the Auditorium, Inspired Tent, Empowered Tent, Downtown Tent, Poetry Pavilion, and Discovery Tent. Free workshops were held in Room 140, with materials provided.<\/p>\n

The festival also offered a full day of family-friendly fun, including story times with \u201cReal Dinosaurs,\u201d face painting, lawn games, a scavenger hunt, and make-and-take art activities.<\/p>\n
