Christina Applegate<\/a> is sharing an unfiltered look at her private life.<\/p>\n

The “Dead to Me” alum launched her new social media profile as a new way to engage with her friends and fans, though she admitted the move left her somewhat in disbelief.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you told me a year ago that I\u2019d be on Instagram, I would have said, F–k off!\u201d she wrote in an Oct. 16 post<\/a> on the platform. \u201cBut here I am, so I\u2019m going to do it my way. Real, raw, honest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alongside the message, the 53-year-old \u2014 who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021 \u2014 shared her \u201cfavorite picture of [herself] lately,\u201d a moody black-and-white photo in which she wore a white T-shirt and jeans while gazing into the camera lens.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was taken by my lifelong friend @kevingrackle,\u201d she continued, \u201cin my backyard with the chimes that remind me of my mother and a moon necklace from a dear witchy friend. -C\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress \u2014 who is mom to Sadie Grace LeNoble, 14, with husband Martyn LeNoble \u2014 received a warm welcome from several celebrity pals including Minka Kelly, who commented<\/a>, \u201cHappy to see you here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Likewise, Kaitlyn Bristowe offered<\/a> an enthusiastic \u201cHell yes,\u201d while Applegate’s “MeSsy” podcast co-host Jamie Lynn Sigler wrote<\/a>, \u201cLook at this!\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, the Emmy winner shared a heartfelt video message expressing gratitude for the support she\u2019d received from her new followers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not really a selfie person so pardon me,\u201d she said in a post on her Instagram Stories<\/a> Oct. 17. \u201cThank you so much for coming onto the Instagram with me. I\u2019ve seen your comments. Thank you so much for the love that you are showing me. I love all of you guys so much and I appreciate you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Applegate also teased her upcoming memoir set for release in March, promising an unflinching look at her ups and downs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited to share “You With the Sad Eyes” with everyone because it\u2019s my life \u2014 the good, the bad, the ugly and the in-between,\u201d she concluded. \u201cPeace and blessings.\u201d<\/p>\n
