\n\tWith the Pirates of the Caribbean<\/a> franchise in for an overhaul, Orlando Bloom<\/a> hopes to get the gang back together.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor, who starred as Will Turner in four of the five films based on the Disney<\/a> ride, said \u201cthe way to win\u201d with a reboot is to reunite him with co-stars Johnny Depp<\/a>, Keira Knightley<\/a> and the rest of the cast.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEverything is in the writing, right? Everything is on the page, and I think there\u2019s definitely, I\u2019m sure there\u2019s a way to create something,\u201d he said at Fan Expo Chicago, according to Entertainment Weekly<\/a>. \u201cI would personally love to see everybody back. I think the way to win on that one is to get everybody back. If they can, and if everybody wanted to go back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Depp\u2019s Captain Jack Sparrow is the one constant across the Jerry Bruckheimer<\/a> film series, Bloom and Knightley\u2019s Elizabeth Swann appeared in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Dead Man\u2019s Chest (2006), At World\u2019s End (2007) and Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017), skipping out on 2011\u2019s On Stranger Tides.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy thing is, if the script was great and \u2014 ideally it was everybody \u2014 it\u2019d be kind of like in for a penny, in for a pound, you know,\u201d added Bloom.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast May, Bruckheimer updated that Jeff Nathanson<\/a> was writing a reboot<\/a> of the franchise, with a separate Christina Hodson<\/a>-penned spin-off starring Margot Robbie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat they\u2019re thinking\u2026is how to do it,\u201d Bloom said. \u201cDo you bring in a female leading character that replicates Jack in some way? I don\u2019t know. The jury is out on how to do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Bruckheimer said this month that he thinks Depp \u201cwould do it<\/a>\u201d if the reboot is written well, Knightley has sworn off franchises<\/a> after her experience on the Pirates movies.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe hours are insane.
